Desert Diamonds offers an extensive range of diamond shapes to suit every style, from classic round (brilliant cut) to the more unique and beloved heart shape. Each Desert Diamond tells its own story, expressed through a variety of shapes and sizes.
It’s essential to understand that the term “cut” can refer to a diamond’s shape, such as a round or princess cut. However, it should not be confused with the more widely used definition of diamond cut, which describes the quality of a diamond’s polish and finish.
Our stones are expertly cut by skilled diamond cutters using the same techniques employed for cutting natural diamonds. They are then hand-polished with diamond powder, ensuring a premium cut that delivers exceptional brilliance, fire, luster, and longevity for every stone.

CARAT SIZE-WEIGHT
Understanding Carat Size and Weight in Desert Diamonds.
Carat is a widely accepted measurement of gemstone weight. Diamond simulants, such as those used in Desert Diamonds jewelry, are heavier than natural carbon diamonds due to their unique chemical composition. For example, a 1ct diamond simulant will appear smaller than a 1ct carbon diamond, and a 2ct brilliant Desert Diamonds simulant would have the same visual size as a 1.25ct brilliant carbon diamond. In essence, Desert Diamond simulants are 1.7 times the expected weight of an equivalently sized diamond or about 75% heavier than a natural diamond. Diamond size does not increase proportionally with carat weight.
For a more accurate visual comparison between diamond simulants and carbon diamonds, it is best to use dimensions in millimeters as a reference point.
For instance, a 1.75ct round brilliant diamond simulant has a diameter of 6.5mm, appearing the same as a 1ct carbon diamond. Keep in mind that this may vary slightly according to the stone’s cut.
